Causality between corruption and poverty: An analysis for South American countries

چکیده
This work aimed to analyze the causality between corruption and poverty in Brazil a group of seven other South American countries, from 2002 2018, using methodology applied by Dumitrescu Hurlin (2012) for heterogeneous panels. The variables employed are Corruption Perception Index (CPI)and Control (CC) index and, as measures poverty, indexes proposed Foster, Greer, Thorbecke (1984), considering extreme lines. Results suggest one-directional CC all line, well P2 indicator poverty.
